Greetings, Traveler! I'm the one known as Hal (see adjacent picture; that's my "serious face",) and this is obviously my writing site. I suppose what you'll come to find here is to be at the mercy of my whims. Oh, the POWER!!!
Ahem... but anyway, I guess this introduction page is where I'm supposed to tell you what I write and why I write and where my angst comes from and stuff. So here goes nothing. I write mostly poems, generally with intentions of amusement. I occasionally write fiction and/or prose, and fairly regularly keep a journal/blog/jourlog, the feed of which is located to the left (and by left, of course, I mean right.) When it comes to journaling, I try to be candid with my thoughts and opinions, but tend to be pretty subtle about certain things. If you read enough of it, I'm sure you'll catch on. (Hint: click the links...) I have a passion for linguistics and grammar mechanics, am an infallible irony addict and have a genunie love for the obscure, which is, I suppose, often reflected in the things I write.
I've dabbled at writing in German, and hopefully will make some more progress with that in coming years. It's a fun language to write in but so far I'm finding English slightly more eloquent for most subjects. Of course, I'm biased. If, by some odd twist of fate, you haven't found this site through halspages.com (my main waste of time,) be sure to take a hop, skip and a jump over there for more mayhem and fracas and other such synonyms.
