Unless it's an April Fools joke two days early (possible, but I think unlikely), Daniel Howell AKA BRK has decided to leave WOW - if not entirely, then at the least to step away from the huge contribution he's made over the years to Hunters in particular and good players in general.

what? Hunters still play this game? lol

I suspect he may have had a more substantial impact on WoW than any other player. Without a doubt, he's run the best hunter blog ever. He's made numerous pod casts about huntering and wow in general. He's produced countelss videos on how to do various things - not just the epeening look at my awesome guild take down so-and-so, but real (and very entertaining) training videos on how to do practical things. He's singlehandledly organized events that have nearly crashed blizzard servers (I've personally participated in some of these events where literally many hundreds of players created toons on a particular server to run races across multiple contentents, not just a few zones. In one case I was part of over 600 level 3ish taurens raiding IF). It's hard to overstate just how much this one person has done for wow players in general and hunters as a class in particular.

God I hope his announcement is just an April Fools joke, but I really doubt it. And assuming it's for real, then I wish him the best of luck repairing his relationship with his wife and son.

BTW: his day job is that of a NASA engineer supporting the Space Shuttle. And he tells some of the funniest military stories I've ever read from real life events in his previous career in the AF.
