We all know the Pallys rule the battlefield and if you have stories to share or just want to talk shop this is the place to do it.

This is the place to be for qestions, comments, tricks or tips.
Holy spec is always nice when you can successfully out do a priest (note: not the priest in my example). I may be spec'd for healing, but I don't have the mana to sustain it (3-5 heals and my mana is gone)

We were in RFC (a while ago for me) with a priest who did not know what he was doing. We eventually dropped him (after a number of us dying more than once), which left the healing to me. Not one wipe as we sucessfully completed the instance. I think I had 1 person die on me when we missjudged aggro distance and pulled more than we intended.
I've seen Pallys (Race and Zeigfried, for example) do a very good job healing whole parties of 5 in instances like the Underbog and Ramparts/Blood Furnace. I've also seen a pally out DPS other classes when speced for it. Anyone here remember Floly? What ever happened to him/her?

Ack
I like Proc for lvlin. But when I get to 70 I will prob respec to Holy. Holy can be pretty nasty if played right. Toungue

Only prob I had with Holy before was running out of mana. With all the new bad ass gear from BC it should help keep mana up.

You guys might know this already but a nice trick run up to the mob and slap seal of light. It makes up a bit for a lack of a hoT. aok
Ugh... I drop Engineering so I can make weapons, and they decide to come out with something like this:

2.2 changes ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread...http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html;jsessionid=1FA2394661AC0EE1B073B730E34E933D?topicId=17450 )

Paladins
• Blessing of Freedom cooldown increased to 25 seconds.
• Blessing of Protection: This spell can no longer be cast on others when stunned. It can only be cast on self (to break the stun) under those circumstances.
• Blessing of Kings, Light, Might, Salvation, Sanctuary and Wisdom increased to 10 minutes.
• Blessing of Sacrifice now has a 1-minute cooldown.
• Consecration will now properly hit large creatures.
• Greater Blessing of Kings, Light, Might, Salvation, Sanctuary and Wisdom increased to 30 minutes.
• Guardian's Favor now increases duration of Blessing of Freedom by 2/4 seconds.
• Eye for an Eye: This ability can now trigger while the Paladin is sitting.
• Hammer of Wrath cast time reduced to .5 seconds, global cooldown reduced to .5 seconds.
• Illumination: Paladins will now correctly gain mana from this ability if they sit down to drink right after a healing crit, and receiving mana from this ability will no longer cause a Paladin who is sitting to stand up.
• Judgement: The Judgement spells will no longer cause triggered effects to go off twice.
• Redoubt: This ability can now trigger while the Paladin is sitting.
• Reckoning: This ability can now trigger while the Paladin is sitting.
• Righteous Defense: In some cases this ability would fail to work properly when the Paladin casting it had just been crowd controlled by a creature. That is now fixed.
• Seal of Righteousness: The tooltip for this ability has been improved. It now displays a different number for one-handed weapons and two-handed weapons, and adjusts to the speed of your current weapon. It displays a single number, rather than a range of numbers for different handedness and speeds.
• Seal of Vengeance: The damage from this ability will now stack properly when two different characters are applying Seal of Vengeance effects to a target.
• Seal of Vengeance duration increased to 15 seconds. In addition, when Seal of Vengeance strikes a target that already has 5 applications you will cause instant Holy damage.

IronWhiskers

You forgot:
  • All sexy bonuses removed.

Sorry, Warriors will have to still be the class that gets all the chicks.
[*] Still have BAMF Bubble.
Damn U and your bubbles! damn u all!!

IronWhiskers

They can be un-sexy in their bubbles.
Mind you, bubbles can be good fun. Try bubbling while you're tanking a good fierce boss sometime, and see the happy face of the healer. Oh, my. How we all laughed.

And now, a semi-useful link, pre-raid gear for happier paladins:

http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html...http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=1410

Oooh. Stuff! Stuff is good. The bad news: It's pre-BC. So, well, it's not so very relevant to our modern kara-bound selves, since outlands green > most of this stuff.
You can bubble off debuffs, just make a macro:

/cast Divine Shield
/stopcasting
/cancelaura Divine Shield

Viola! Bubbled off the debuff(s), and didn't lose aggro for more than half an instant.

Also, for any 5man instance, a paladin tank is god-mode. Also in kara and ZA, and even beyond, now that they're on par with warriors, HP-wise. Plus, you don't have to worry about rage starvation if you're not getting hit (although, to a lesser extent, you'll have to worry about losing mana too fast if you're not taking enough damage to get super-mana-restoration from spiritual attunement).
If you are not getting the spiritual attunement love, some alternatives:

Seal of Wisdom. Yes, your TPS goes down, but maybe that's better than /oom
Judgement of Wisdom. I don't like this when tanking, I want Crusader to boost my TPS.
Innervate from your friendly Druid. Oh, yes!
Aggro more mobs! Darn it, if you just aren't getting hit enough, why not get hit more?

I expect that we've all figured these out, but what the heck. I really like the last alternative. Make those healers work for a living and up my pathetic prot-pally DPS at the same time, what could be better? Plus, the body pile is so pretty when you're done.
As an aside, use JoW on a secondary mob and JotC on your primary with either SoV or SoRighteousness.

A single judgement of righteousness with wings after crusader's shield should give you enough of a threat lead on your first-kill target that you can afford to tag the last-kill mob with JoW and use that as a mana battery. Also, downranking holy shield can help, although the mana cost isn't that high to begin with. But most definitely downrank consecrate. That first consecrate with wings up should be plenty to keep a decent amount of hate on you from every mob in the pull.

God, I should really level my protadin here, or transfer. Probably easier to just level her.
