Frequently Asked Questions

By Kethlyr

This is basically the canonical list of typical shit people ask me on any given day. I hope it answers your questions.

How many people are in the guild?
As of 11/16/07, Psycho Squirrel Patrol has 319 character members and 194 unique accounts.

What classes does Psycho Squirrel Patrol need?
We, like most guilds, are always low on healers. We are also pitifully low on druids and Shamans. However, we welcome all classes into our ranks.

What are the requirements to join?
Currently, the only requirement is that you read and agree to the Guild Rules. We also ask that you fill out a (very short) application on our forum, here.

How do I move up in rank?
Well, the first step would be becoming a Walnut. As a Walnut, you'll be considered for promotion whenever we're looking to fill a position. More information on ranks can be found on the guild ranks page. (P.S. Badgering officers for a promotion past Walnut is a great way to make sure you don't get one. Also, just being in the guild and helping out for a long time does not entitle you to officer status. A great guildie does not necessarily make a great leader, and there's more to rank than the fancy title. It is work and it is responsibility.)

Is this a raiding guild?
The short answer is no. The long answer is that raids are an option for guildies who want to raid either with our allies, Dog Faction, or with other guildies. Raids and instance runs are always being planned in the LFG!!!!!! section of the forum, but raiding will never be the primary focus of Psycho Squirrel Patrol, nor will we ever use an internal DKP system.

Do we have a tabard?
Yup. See that tabard on the top of the page? That's our's.

Do we use Vent or TeamSpeak??
We use Vent. Click here for rules and server & client info.

What's the point of a forum? That's what in-game tells are for!
The guild forum is a tool that is there for you to plan instance runs, seek help in various ways including but not limited to getting items crafted and finding help with quests, request bank items, get to know your fellow guildies and generally screw around. In-game tells are relatively ineffective for conveying all of these things in any sort of practical way, except perhaps screwing around. Registering on & using the forum is not is not a requirement for anybody except Class Leaders, Hazelnuts and Nutcrackers, though it is the easiest way to communicate and can make things easier & more fun.

Why did you choose this name?
I chose it because it conveys the serious commitment to strategy and honor that our guild represents ... you're not buying that, are you? Ok, really I didn't choose the name; Psycho Squirrel Patrol's first guild leader did. I don't even remember his name. I just remember helping him with a quest in Duskwood in February of 2006 or so, and he invited me to his guild. Psycho Squirrel Patrol was more or less inactive until one day in May of 2006 when I logged in and noticed that I was the GL. So I booted the inactive players, threw up this website and started recruiting.

Peanut Princess? Can I be Peanut Prince lol?
No. You will never be Peanut Prince. You're not cool enough to be Peanut Prince, and you'll just have to come to terms with that.

How do I get items from the Guild Vault
Please see the Guild Vault Page for more information.

Are you female? A goth? A lesbian? A trekkie?
Yes. No. No. Yes. And that has nothing to do with Warcraft, damnit!

So what's this 1000g for dirty pictures thing?
Well, it started out as a joke, but I'm not one to go back on my word, so the deal is this: In exchange for 1000g, I will email you a nude picture of myself. (Don't get your hopes up, though; it's not pr0n. I have done some modeling and have a few artistic nudes sitting around.) No, you cannot pool money and showing the picture to other guildies will get you booted from the guild (re-instatemtnt will cost you another 300g per guildie who sees the picture.) Is that worth 1000g? HELL NO! But, that's sort of the point, isn't it?

Boobies?
BOOBIES!!!!!!!1
